Description:The Hotel Paradox is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Sales Manager for an exciting opportunity in Santa Cruz. This is a rare and unique opportunity for a team-oriented, results-driven professional to represent our upscale contemporary boutique hotel with a natural relaxed service complimenting the non-pretentious Santa Cruz vibe.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
The Hotel Paradox is managed by BPR Properties, which is a family operated ownership and management company with a variety of branded and independent hotels in Northern California.

The Hotel Paradox entails a large array of paradoxical amenities, bringing the outdoors inside, with simple but lush furniture and fixtures throughout. The hotel features well-appointed, chic -guest rooms, the largest meeting space in Santa Cruz and an exciting food and beverage concept that includes a vibrant new pool scene, like no other in Santa Cruz.

We are creating a unique new experience in Santa Cruz, come help us define the new paradox.
Duties:The Corporate Sales Manager maximizes revenue by selling all facets of the hotel within assigned market segments, using effective written and oral communication.

•Must show proven ability of prospecting and closing, know the competition, and initiate new sales, prospects, qualified leads and business for a hotel/resort.
•Target special corporate and transient accounts and ensure solicitation goals are met.
•Develop networking opportunities through active participation in local civic or professional organizations.
•Previous OPERA property management experience and experience in the California market desirable.
•Energetic, self-motivated, committed sales professional with excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Language skills – Advanced, as a conversationalist with the ability to analyze and interpret business reports and publications. Ability to speak, read and write about abstract ideas, form opinions, give presentations and respond to correspondences with an in depth understanding.
•Mathematical skills and reasoning ability – Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and forecast accurately. Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Qualifications:A BA degree or higher is preferred, but equivalent education and experience will be considered. Two years of experience in Corporate Hotel Sales. Selling in corporate market segment experience desirable. Understanding of the local markets a plus.


Candidate must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States, and be able to pass a background check.
